Lynn has been practicing in the field of counseling since 1986 where she received her master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Art Therapy.  Since her graduation she has worked primarily with children and their families in various settings.  She was a treatment foster parent for 10 years and as a result has personal experience in parenting children who have problems.  In her five years employed by the Family Counseling Center as the Children’s Clinic Manager, she supervised staff that worked with children and families.  Other experiences were as a faculty of the Atira Transformative Process Training Program and teaching art classes in creativity at the Tall Grass Arts Center.

Perspective

Lynn provides guidance in coping and responding to life’s struggles: when thoughts overwhelm us—we are stuck in the experience of anxiety and life feels like chaos. Lynn teaches how to release thoughts that bring tension and become overwhelming through the stresses of life.  Though the release of these tensions, you can then respond from a state of calm and ease—from that quiet place that God’s presence and guidance emerges.

When Lynn helps you achieve this state of calm and ease and learn to let go of a self-oriented perspective of life: you can embrace and understand others perceptions and what their behaviors and communicating.  Through learning this process you learn to respond and communicate effectively and lovingly in relationships.
